If Only

What are the things that we live for?
Can we honestly say they’re the things
that if push came to shove we would die for?
The thought leaves me contemplating
how totally different it would all be
if for everyone these were the same,
but they’re not and I fear someday we’ll come to see...
we’ve only our own selves to blame.
