If one day my love turns icy

If one day my love turns icy - chill within thy spine,
Wilt thou still reach out thy gentle hand?
If mine eyes grow dark and murky,
And know not thy face nor name written in the sky,
Wilt thou still gaze at me, and love in peace?

I shall grow old one day, like a child again,
Lose my memory, my vision - grown dim;
Like a passing shadow it'll pass before me -
If that day doth come, wilt thou still sit beside me?
