If My Tears Weren'T Clear

Behind each memory, lies a feeling
For better or for worse
Yet the feeling, that I loved so much
Has now become my curse

Behind each happy thought, lies the pain
Since you've said goodbye
And while times erased, some memories
These tears have still not dried

If my tears weren't clear
And your eyes weren't blue
Would your memory still remain
Its like the reason, for my missing you
Is to only bring me pain

If these walls could talk
What would they say
About this world I'm, living in
Cause tomorrow I'll, repeat today
As if to die again

While my mind can't speak, it sure knows how
To tell me how to feel
So as my sorrows last, and my dreams collapse
My sanity it steals

So if you're leaving, just be sure to say
Goodbye and, I love you
So my heart will know, as my sorrow grows
That all of this was true

If my tears weren't clear
And the skies weren't gray
And the sun could guide my way
Would this pain ensue, about my losing you
Could I understand my fate

If these walls could talk
What would they say
About this world I'm, living in
Cause tomorrow I'll, repeat today
As if to die again

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
