If My Prayers Fell On Deaf Ears

It seems that heartache's overtaken the good times And I'm here to ask some prayers for a friend I'm not lying for I'm a believer But I'm not sure where I'll go in the end Because I come here giving thanks too little For all my blessings to my knees I should fall A million times I've said just this one time Yet when I need help You're the first one I call I wouldn't blame you if my prayers fell on deaf ears If all is going well we may not talk for years I hope You see that I'm honest, and also sincere But I wouldn't blame You if my prayers fell on deaf ears I'm a sinner there's no doubt about it Of 10 commandments I've broken most of them I'm fast to ask You for Your help Though most times You answer again I've fell from grace and I dread to face My judgement for the secrets you see Cause more times than not You've been my rock You don't hear thanks You just hear my pleas So I wouldn't blame you if my prayers fell on deaf ears If all is going well we may not talk for years I hope You see I'm honest, and also sincere But I wouldn't blame You if my prayers fell on deaf ears To all of my friend let's be clear I really care But my prayers may fall on deaf ears
