If My Girl Was Here

If my girl was here
16/07/2018

If my girl was here
I’d fill the tank of my mustang
Drive away with her
Never look back where we came.
If my girl was here
My road would be much smoother
Drive away with her
Enjoy the view from the shoulder.
If my girl was here
I’d hold her all night long
Drive away with her
Never stop until she’s done.
If my girl was here
We’d stay in little B & B’s
Drive away with her
Sleep in until we please.
If my girl was here
Our life would be so perfect
Drive away with her
My love I always will protect.
If my girl was here
I’d drive away with her
And hide away with her
I’ll stay awake with her
How my heart aches for her.

Your thoughts hold longing and that sweet ache of being close. This is tender and beautiful, all at the same time. ~ Brandy
