If Love Could Be a Gift

If love could be a gift wrapped in caring and compassion
Making one feel the most deepest point of satisfaction
Bringing a smile to face draped in sorrow and sadness
Never before has there been this much emotion of happiness
It's almost like a warm gentle touch a cool winter day
Leaving the mouth speechless without a word to say
Always wanting to me near to this wonderful present
Just to think about it makes a dreadful day seem pleasant
The one thing in one's life that can never be taken away
Lying in the arms of the giver is where thine shall lay
Take it for all it's worth with much loving and care
If love could be a gift then to you I will sincerely share
