One of my most favorite songs of the Winans back in the day, “Secrets.” When you’re waiting on God for a promise or imparted secret per say, the only thing you can do is wait. There’s nothing you can do to hurry it along, and there’s no situation however desperate that will make it happen sooner than the appointed time. You can rest assure however, that there is an appointed time for your precious promise from the Lord. As the song goes that I mentioned.

“Secrets the Lord impart, keep them close to your heart. Don’t ever let them die, make them the Apple of your eye...” by the Winans.

IF JUST A DREAM Sleep my child and rest your head, find comfort in your waiting bed. Have peace in the faith that’s in your heart, For the nightmares are when you’re awake my child; The nightmares are when you’re awake. Be not restless, close your eyes, The night is not to be despised. Fear not the night that gives to rest, For dreams are sweetest when you sleep, my child. dreams are sweetest when you sleep. I saw your fingers loosening now, Your heavy heart and glistening brow, A precious promise to you I’ll now impart, For I have heard your silent cries my child; I have heard your silent cries. Who am I Father, to question you, You do what exactly you wish to do, The dream, not a dream, oh could it be? Suddenly awake, after asking thee; “If just a dream, let me sleep my Lord, “If just a dream, Please let me sleep.”
