If Joy Does Return

Where or what is joy?
I once knew it as a boy.
Where it came from I ignore,
But the feeling I did enjoy.

Where has this sensation gone?
Why have I the attention of sandess drawn?
No more joy do I enjoy,
Maybe it only clung to me as a boy.

If once again it returns,
And of it's mistake he learns,
I will cherish it forever.
Never will it leave, never.

I understand this feeling. I feel it too, I used to feel more secured when I was younger, yet the person that made my world meaningful meant nothing to me at that time. Though life is decorated with problems and pain, joy and happiness comes back to us at short intervals, no matter how long it takes it would come, and even if it stays an hour long, it would be a treasured past. Beautiful write, Hector.
