If It Ain'T Broke
I don't know if you heard me right
If you're leaving, turn out the light
I think I made it pretty clear
How much I want you yo stay here
But you keep saying something ain't right
If it ain't broke then don't fix it
Best to leave well enough alone
We have been the best of friends for years
Shared a ton of laughs and some tears
But now you say that you're going home
Honey, It's not like we just met today
And drunk stumbled into the hay
And you know I ain't the kind of guy
Who installed a turnstile on his fly
But it looks like you're pulling away.
If it ain't broke then don't fix it
Best to leave well enough alone
We have been the best of friends for years
Shared a ton of laughs and some tears
But now you say that you're going home
We both know how folks love to talk
Most of em can't chew gum and walk
They're always looking for your ring
Saying it looks like it's just a fling
But we all know how hens love to squawk.
If it ain't broke then don't fix it
Best to leave well enough alone
We have been the best of friends for years
Shared a ton of laughs and some tears
But now you say that you're going home
So honey please come on back to bed.
Don't let your girlfriends mess with your head
We have been down this road before
I'm not the one who's keeping score
And without you I'd be better off dead.
If it ain't broke then don't fix it
Best to leave well enough alone
We have been the best of friends for years
Shared a ton of laughs and some tears
Thank the good Lord that you're not going home
