If I Were Immortal
When your wells run dry,
and blue is all you see in the distant sky,
I'd create grey clouds for you and cause water to flow below from parts unknown, IF I WERE IMMORTAL.
If when you'll feeling low, and your blood pressure is high.
Or your friends are not saying 'hello' but only 'goodbye'.
Or you remember the good old days and begin to cry.
I'd come by, because I love 'hello' and hate 'goodbye'.
I would dry every tear in your eyes and stand by you.
I'd build walls around you to protect from all enemies,
IF I WERE IMMORTAL.
Water-Seekers go deeper, but whiners cease to try.
Optimists see silver linings. Pessimists complain and deny.
Take hold of an eagle, and let him teach you to fly.
I'm a water-seeker, a winner, an optimist, and an eagle.
So, remember these things I'd do for you, IF I WERE IMMORTAL.
