If I Shall Love

If I can be given a choice of words
I would use... ‘If I shall love’
They were read, but goes often unheard
Yet my choice, belongs my worth

Words meant only to me
To simply mean different to you
Explaining to yet a never be
Those who know... Never knew

As well your opinion I do not know
No matter to ask... To only channel through my way
Your words have you to unfold?
My words though, I have already chosen to say

Perhaps simply a quiet relief
A subtleness to be weaken into
Some heavy lightness in earnest to believe
Yet a lightness too heavy for me... perhaps you

‘If I shall love’, these are my words
Am I only to know my own’s worth?
I read it aloud, but it goes unheard
Like I said... If I shall love
