If I Ruled the World

If I ruled the world,
Perish the thought,
All would have choices, whether to or not.
No one's station would have sway over any ,
Respect would be given, not demanded, uncanny!

Healthy families would be encouraged and enabled too,
As they helped the broken ones to find their way through.
All would have value, but none would just take. For work is more than how much you make.
Each community and town would care for its own disabled and outcast and those all alone.
Violators of others would be sent away to an island of their peers where all would there stay.
These just a few ideas of how my kingdom would start,
I'm hoping this world of mine would help transform some hearts.

A poem offering quiet reflection on the essence of being human, providing an ambiance to work and home and creating a reason for life. Emile.
