If I Only Knew My Dad
This is a story about a man , I believe, conspired to drive me Mad
A ghost, a phantom, formed in the imagination of my Childish mind
So long ago: to protect him from scrutiny I changed his name to : Dad
The mirage of my youth : He’s tall and stately, dapper, and refined
Wavy brown hair with a tinge of curl, dimples that grow with his smile
Winter gray steel blue eyes, shining, radiating unconditional : LOVE
A compassionate man, congenial and friendly and he goes the extra mile
If You see my hallucinatory delusion , a picturesque symbol of LOVE
TELL HIM I AM SAD and I WOULD BE SO GLAD IF I ONLY KNEW MY DAD
Inspired by and Dedicated to Carolyn Devonshire for Her " D A D "
