I'm sitting here in silence
In the tomb of our relationship
The fire is slowly dying
And the ashes taste bitter and twisted
Getting over you feels impossible
Moving on has been a dead-end street
I always wondered why people die from broken hearts
And here I am no longer wondering
If I leave the light on for you each night
And leave the door unlocked by day
I wonder if you'll remember
And come back to me and stay?
Forever... Forever...

If I send a sign through the Universe
And keep my heart open for yours to feel
I wonder if the Angels will show you
That you and I belong for real?

They say some loves last forever
But have they been around long enough to know?
They say some hearts never recover
But it's easier to talk than show
They say some people are destined to meet
Over and over and over again
They say some tragedies are set on repeat
But I know ours could be healed if we tried
