If I Had a Visit To Heaven

If I had a visit ti heaven,
for but a short length of time
I would gather all of my family there,
and some close friends of mine

I'd hold my Father close to me
and say " I miss you so,
I wish I could have spoke with you
when God, said time to go"

I'd kiss my dear sweet Mother,
hold her silken hand
I would tell her not to worry,
she raised a fine young man

I'd see my older Brother,
such a short time we did have
you see, the good Lord took him,
when I was just a lad

My Grandma's and my Grandpa's,
all rocking in their chairs
I'm glad to see them healthy,
without the ailing cares

With all my friends who dwell there,
I'd chat with them awhile
when it's time for leaving,
I'd leave them with a smile

Well, here St. Peter's coming,
say's it's time for me to go
I ask for just a moment,
so that I may let them know

The lives you left behind you,
are faithful, brave and strong
we'll meet again in heaven,
it won't be very long

For when St. Peter calls us,
you'll know it when you pray
we won't be there to visit,
we will all be there to stay.

Oh yes Richard! So many to see that's have already gone on. So great to know that this life is just a temporal place. Let us learn the lessons of love here, so we will not be ashame over there. Sincerely, Moses
