If I Had a Pen

If I had a pen I could write all day
But it would never be enough just to simply say
How much you're missed in our lives and our history as well
All the words in the world could never substitute what our hearts can't tell
So, though my hands ache and my back cramps too
I feel God is using my pen to talk to you
Remember the good times we had and you will find strength to
give your words meaning and your story length
And take your own paper and pen in hand
To let Him use your pen to help you take a stand
Against an injustice mightier than paper or rock
So, we can get back to where we were and heal and unlock
The demons you portray in my reaching out to you with my words today
Come on join me in life's essay!!!
