IF I EVER SEE YOU AGAIN

I'll tell you everything
Of how life and the world can sting.
Mom, since you left for the land of peace
My life has known no ease.

I've been sleeping less than I should
Working tirelessly, doing all that I could
To fill the void of your eternal absence
I'd trade my sanity for a moment of your presence.

If I ever see you again, dear mom
I'll admit you were right all along.
Being a man takes more than just living each day;
It requires a plan, a deliberate way.

I've seen it all; I've felt it all
But mom, guess what, I've learned to stand tall
Whenever I fall, or whenever life and world sting
If I ever see you again, I'll tell you everything.
