If I Could Come Back

Back and forth life has no true set course
As life goes on we hope nothing goes wrong
Then comes the day when it's thrown all away
Fatal the crash that would be the last
Now, laying in a grave with life gone past

Here today, gone tomorrow... That's why they say to live each day as if it were your last, as it may well be. Nice write, Mike. ~ gw

We are contradictions, fragile and resilient.. Eternal and mortal... and yes, hoping that "nothing goes wrong" and throwing it "all away."

People don't comment like they used to. Sometimes a poem of mine will sit for days before someone 'speaks'. Read/comment to others for that is how it works, I've learned. This is deep and conveys a moral yet doesn't come on strong, no - it delivers with a pleasant flow on a roll to make a strong point. I like it! Poetry hugs ... CayCay
