If I Could Be a Flower For Thee ...

If I could be a flower for thee,
It would be the sweetest of sweet sweetpea,
I would cling to you with tendrils so strong,
my perfume would stay with you even
when I had gone.
But instead if your pet I should be,
then make it one to be with you eternally,
If you want neither pet nor flower,
turn aside, leave, do not watch
as I wither by the hour.
