If I Could
If i held the pen, i would rewrite your story.
Redraft your past, remove your future worries.
Erase all the hurt you've ever felt until there is none left.
If i could bear your burdens i would carry them myself.
I would endure your discomfort, take away your pain.
Shield you from distress so that you will never hurt again.
I'll bandage your wounds today so they aren't exposed tomorrow.
Petition for peace that can take away your sorrows.
If only i could take your troubles, daily, upon me .
I would seek God in prayer and place them at his feet
