If I Come the Way I Am

Will you see me and say
Let the gentle man stay
Or will you rather say
Send the wretched one away

Will you hear my name
And tell that the owner is brain-lame
Or will you wish it burn in flame
And say it serves the owner right all the same

Will you meet me and say
Oh! Jeez, you have spoilt my day
With the appearance of the person I am today
Or will you rather stone me clay

Will you look at me and sway away
Or continue to watch in dismay
Or will you hold me and let us play
In the scorching sunlight ray

Will you see me again
And spit over me a thousands blame
Or tell me my name is the word shame
And continue to play me as your little fun game

Or Will you see me and pray
That I come and on your laps lay
And allow me to walk your way
Or will you placate
