If Ever I Could Be

If ever I could be

what I should be but am not

If ever I could be

what I want to be but cant

If ever I could be

to her a person to care

If ever I could be

a love that I  could share

If ever I could be

a soul searched for true

If ever I could be

somebody for you

If ever I could be

what I wanted to be but failed to be but cared to be

and was willing to be and can be but cant be because the door is locked

If ever I could be I would be but I am not.

if ever I could be.
