If Death Happens By

If Death Happens By

now, pondering back on his life

he thought that nothing was amiss,

and as for regrets he had very little,

because his life had been full and joyful

so if death should happen to creep up near

anytime within the future he'd be waiting,

simply enjoying the cool breeze with a glass

of fine wine whenever the time would come to stopping
