If a Stone Had Words To Speak

If a stone had words to speak Down below, and high on a mountain peak The stories it would tell, would turn it weak Stones of a desert, would shed rivers of tears And those that are lost in oceans Would dry like the autumn leafs For all the love they witnessed live For all the life, they witnessed leave If a stone had words to speak Would it tell stories of humanity Or sing sad songs of insanity For if a stone had words to speak It would tell us of words, that would make a grown man weep Of moments, when we no longer held evil behind our teeth but rather spoke it high, with foolish pride and skill Moments, when we no longer recognised we all inside us feel and abandoned millions of souls, in agony to be killed That is why If a stone had words to speak Its stories would be filled with pain and grief It would sing a song, locked inside for years and years only if a stone had words to speak
