If a Poem Lives or Dies
His poems no longer garner many views
If writing were a contest, he'd lose
True, the poet is the first one who has to be pleased
Yet only by moving others can he truly succeed
Whether it's a gasp or a grin, a thought or a sigh
Reader reaction decides
