If

If I can touch you once more
If I can hold you once again
A beginning as likely to be pure
Without an ending ever the same

Simple words to mean the world
A simple matter for an everyday
A simple embrace falling into... to curl
A simple truth without words to say

And a kiss and am to give
And to hold to never let go
And of grace be well-received
And of you for another morrow

To belong only to you
With everywhere becoming a home
Moments for only we knew
As well for love becoming real to own

If I am to touch you once more
If I am to hold you once again
With a beginning as likely to be impure
Without an ending to live the same
