Notes About The Poem

If

If wishes had the strength of will,

I think I'd not be lonesome, still.

If longing could give flight to wing,

my tethered heart would soar and sing.

I’ve been away from “the soup” for a while. This is a recent piece by you? I very much like its simplicity and power. There is a sadness, a melancholy sense of loss. I share the essence. One of your best and you have many.
