If

If I could only get to choose
Which memories i could loose
what memories fly away.
The ones I so wish to stay
Only if I could choose the ones to keep.
That are to me a treat
The ones that can help me stand on my own feet
To help me stand taller & brighter.
Makes my soul lighter
A better Man than yesterday.
I've paved the way
Hopefully a better man tomorrow.
Just need to survive the sorrow
But a better Man today?
I say
Ask me tonight
When I pull the cover tight.
So we will have to wait and see.
Tomorrow who I be
