Idly by
Idly by
On my bed
I sit and cry

While the birds
sing a song
of love and hope
all day long

Idly by
Idly by
Wishing, hoping
I would die

While the sun
shines so bright
giving way to
starry nights

Idly by
Idly by
My tears of pain
won't seem to dry

While water rushes
to the sea gushing,
flowing to be free

Idly by
Idly by
Dreams of
happiness pass me bye

While fluffy clouds
fill the sky
waving as they say goodbye

Idly by
Idly by
Letting life slip away
before my very eyes.
