Identification

As thoughts pass
Through the filter of mind
Some we catch, some dismissed
Some are reinforced
But none are ours

Identification is the only sin
There is no ultimate tally sheet
But clinging will bring misery

This pushed away
That I like
This will do, but that Id rather not see
Identification is misery

Nothing can be held
By a fluid self
Shapeshifting
Is how we came to survive
Hold on to nothing
And tomorrow you'll be alive
