Inhospitable stares;

Invisible slickness;

Incandescent beauty

In glacial scenes so fair!

Immense chill on a breeze!

Imbibing an *Icee -

Instant, intense brain-freeze!

Feb. 24, 2017 for Kim Merryman's I Pleiades Poetry Contest

* An Icee (or slurpee) is a frozen carbonated drink. If consumed
too quickly it sometimes feels like you get a short horrible headache
we call brain freeze!

I like this creative take on the 'ice' theme, Andrea. Is the 'icee' what we over here call 'slush'? If that is the case, then I quite like it...I prefer it to ice-cream. // paul
