Icy northwesterly winds whip
Like a buggy whip cracks,
Hurrying the horses along
Dragging winter on its back.

Green leaves battered to the brown earth
Instant early death befalls.
Tender young fruit most likely gone
Spring unsettled appalls.

Engrossing images with the horse and buggy lines, Sara. Curious where this continues when you finish it. Was that your own picture? We once had a storm, here in Idaho, that made a mailbox (post and all) tilt at 45 degrees! It made for an amusing picture.

I can just see that buggy whip fast, speeding through the air with the sound of a strong winter breeze..Glad that you could see the image as well..Thanks for stopping by.Sara
