I Wrote This Poem For You
Everyday I think of you
dreaming of a new beginning
I see your smile I embrace your eyes
that is why I wrote this poem for you.
Never imagined I would see you again
those special years I couldn't forget
suddenly, I see your face
your smile, your eyes, are still the same
that is why I wrote this poem for you.
I wish I had the courage then
to open up and let you in
my heart my mind didn't understand
how to love someone till the end
that is why I wrote this poem for you.
All the words unspoken before
still in my heart like poetic art
someone I love my soul adores
feelings revealed from across the shores
that is why I wrote this poem for you.
Reflection of the past between bordered lines
no regrets for you or I
just be joyed to have seen you again
my heart is smiling at another chance
Bonding memories with a special friend
that is why I wrote this poem for you.
