I write my story for the world to see

Nothing much to really say
This manic mood is here to stay
Crying as the days become hard
Crying because for my life I have no regard

Im sinking in my ship
The water deep, I'm losing grip
Trying to find a place of safety
This fight however is just not in me

Veering close every day
To the edge they told me to steer away
Jumping over seems more appealing
Than sitting here, my soul leaving

Pen to paper seems to be
The only way I can express the real me
Trying to keep the darkness at bay
Isn't really as easy as the books say

This version of me I hate the most
The one that makes me just a ghost
I have no emotion, not even one
It's like I'm holding a metaphoric gun

Should I shoot to stop the pain?
But from that what would be gained?
Another lost soul to suicide
Another life thrown aside

Sinking into delusions and visions
But only I can see divisions
Divisions between reality and visions
Life is filled with unwritten conditions

So pen to paper I will stay
A poem to keep the darkness at bay
Those who read I want you to know
This depression is not my usual glow

I'm in the weeds can't get out
Don't even know what I'm talking about
Confusion with reality is killing me
I write my story for the world to see
