I Would Rather Love You

i would rather be here, if you would rather not be there,
if contradicting the sense of our unity portrays the love that we share,
my heart aches to see doubts pushed out the door,
far away faith tests the heart to see more,
God's love moves through one to give to another,
residing in the heart by loves means to discover,
HIS love never leaves, planted and firm,
bringing peace to our hearts through life's uncertainties and turns.
