I Would Have But

My body took a dive last night.
It started when we watched a fight.
My head popped off and rolled under the couch.
My left foot dissolved with a great big OUCH!
My arm slid off, and landed in the beautiful sink.
My eyes turned around in sockets, so I could not blink.
So that’s why my science and bio homework are not done, Mrs. Louisa May Cat.
We were too busy sticking me back together to worry about that.

Thank you, Line. I do believe I remember using it, but the 3rd grade teacher had NO sense of humor; her mouth proved that.
