I Worship My Redeemer

“30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” Matt 24:30-31 NIV I am the redeemed of the Lord Saved by God’s marvelous grace. I can do nothing to merit eternity; Only God’s gift by faith to embrace. I am His workmanship; He has a divine plan for me. The Father is rich in mercy— All the saved with me will agree. Christ purchased my freedom; Set me free from evil’s curse. Gave me the gift of everlasting life— Death to finally reverse. Although dead in transgressions, By God’s grace I am truly saved. As I stand before Christ in repentance; At the Mercy Seat my sins are waved. God’s superabundant favor— A gift of grace from my Lord; To each repentant sinner, He does presently afford. We are His ‘work in progress’, But His task will soon be complete. Christ will return in the clouds; Take us to heaven’s golden streets. There’s a time of judgment When God’s plagues of seven will fall. Based upon false worship; He tests us one and all. Since Christ purchased our freedom; His worship must be our goal. Let’s not worship the false Christ, Who will walk the earth in His role. Since we are saved by grace— Christ, our souls, he redeems. Let’s worship the Christ upon the clouds, Not the one the majority esteems. Satan will walk the earth as an Angel of Light And tell all he’s the one, But Christ will appear in the clouds— Look up, your redemption is won! Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2012
