Many years have passed since I held you last- still you are in my heart and on my mind- and when I think of you, as I often do- I wonder do you ever think of me. Yes, I wonder do you ever think of me- or am I just forgotten history. I go to sleep at night, and dream about you- and of our faded love of long ago- and when I wake up dear, knowing you’re not here- I wonder do you ever dream of me. Yes I wonder do you ever dream of me- or am I just a deleted memory. In nineteen fifty-five, you promised to be mine- and pledged your love for all eternity- then you broke my heart and now that we’re apart- I wonder do you ever think of me. Yes, I wonder do you ever think of me- or of other times that used to be. Years have come and gone, memories linger on- that time cannot erase nor time replace- and when I think of you, as I often do- I wonder do you ever think of me. I still love you, do you even ever think of me?
