I Wonder

I Wonder

I wonder what you’re now up to
And how you are now coping
I ponder over the thought of you
What hurts is the not knowing

I wonder if you will ever write
But what would you though say
Slipping under our covers at night
Knowing we’re both miles away

I wonder if we’re ever again meet
When you do eventually get out
Is it my blunder if I then retreat?
Could I be any more heartfelt?

I wonder with the uncertainty
Because if the truth be then told
If rain there’s thunder but surly
You I will once again behold

Written for my darling dawn I was in a state of wonder
When I wrote this babe wondering how you are
I hope that do see you again hold you in my arms
