I Wonder

I wonder why you entered my world
And was gone before I knew it
For you brought me so much joy
That my heart still clings on to it

I wonder why you stopped calling
And didn't come around again
A love that was so good
Was it worth me losing a friend

I wonder if I did it over
Would I do it just the same
For the love I love only you bring out
And has me calling out your name

The simple pleasures of life were here
And oh how it felt so right
I think about your gentleness
And how you hold my body tight

I wonder why things have to change
And why I have to miss you
Each day without you I feel sadness
And each day I long to kiss you

I think of the words spoken through our eyes
With a big smile upon my face
I thank you for those treasured moments
Where we lived in our own place

No one knows just how we feel
As time goes by each day
I wonder, if you wonder
Why our love won't go away
