I Wish You Were Here

A raindrop falls from the sky, I follow it patiently with my eye, It splashes into a crystal clear puddle, The rippling movements ever so subtle, Something reflects I can not believe, A figure I can not mentally perceive, Those beautiful eyes staring so lovingly, That warm smile that calms me internally, Yet that figure is not me, it is you, Eyes so flawlessly baby blue, Now I can only wish you were here, Because I've been so lonely without you near, Then slowly you disappear into the rain, Maybe one day I will see you again, Up in a place far beyond the stars, Because I know that's exactly where you are.
