I Wish My Heart

Sometimes I wish my heart could get an education
So it would know exactly how to feel
Instead it acts simply out of desperation
I guess it think it's other half ain't here

Sometimes I wish my heart would use an invitation
Before it let's someone in
I guess it don't understand my situations
And the funny thing about that is
It's gone with me everywhere I've been

Sometimes I wish my heart understood discretion
'Cause it's steps over the lines
A quick lesson about separation
You just need to let go sometimes
