I Wish It Could Be Like It Was Forever

The night we met I held you in my arms underneath the infinite sky

I could feel the warmth of your heart and see the passion in your eyes

Sitting on the beach with you in my arms and feeling that magical connection

I thought for the first time in my life that I was headed in the right direction

We lived and loved each day more then the last

Our love for one another seemed to grow so fast

We said its time to take the next step so I moved in

And since that day i feel that your patience has been growing thin

I wish I could make you feel the way I did that day

But I guess I just cant and thats why I feel you slipping away

You tell me everything is fine and that I think to much

But I cannot ignore the tone in your voice and the feel of your touch

You told me once that I  was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with

But now I feel the absence of your love in the way that you hug and i miss the 
sweetness of your kiss.
