I Wish, Imagine, What If

I wish I were a rose
My petals I easily dispose
The ones that no longer brings
Loving fancy to all my whims
And keep the parts I love and adore
Asking of life for nothing more
Stretch myself toward the light
Feeling gay and beautifully bright
And underneath the radiant sun
I glow a brilliance of dazzling haze
Living life in a wonderful way
Embracing and chasing incredible days.

Imagine if I were to become a tree
Experiencing life how I want it to be
Steady with my earthly family
A gentle sway on a windy day
Never being led astray
Always rooted in the ground
Where I can be relied on to be found
Powerfully being in my life
Everything always going alright
Love and energy from the sunlight
Living a grand life dignified
All the days and all the nights.

What if I were a bird
Above the Earth I play and pert
Flying freely from my perch
And when I am in flight
Never losing sight of where it is I land
Life is lived so very unplanned
Unrestrained always in a joyful way
Excitedly living come what may
Singing gaily with all my friends
So honest and true with no pretend
Rain or hail I remain strong
To mother nature I belong
I flitter about always in song
Carefree happily I wonder along.
