I Wish I Was Blind and Deaf

I may wish I was blind
I can't take seeing all this suffering
I must look through the dripping blood
To see what else may come
I wipe the blood from my face with my hand
I may wish I was deaf
I can't stand hearing the cries of agony
I must try to hear beyond the screams
To hear what else may come
I must look through and hear beyond the pain
Stand tall and stay strong to see what the future holds
