I Wish I Had a Big Dog
Wish I had a big dog the woman told us all.
We liked her a lot; she was happy most of the fall.
She got depressed in the winter when she would hide.
In the spring she barely came out, choosing to stay inside.
In the summer she came out to grow her lilacs tall.
We kicked in our savings and we bought her a beast of a dog.
He ate all her pancakes and waffles, followed by jugs of eggnog.
Her spirits came up as high as we had ever seen.
She named her dog the Best Uplifting Queen.
He uplifted her spirits, pulling her out of the bog.
