I Wish I Could Write a Song
If I was to write a memorable song
some kind of melody not very long,
expect something catchy with beat
with a titled chorus that would repeat,
vibrant positive, feel good factor tune
sung by Everyone from Earth to moon,
like stars flashing in the night sky
happy feelings so pleasing you'd cry
uncontrollable tears flowing by,
If I was to write a popular little ditty
it would be full of joy never of pity,
extruding a pleasurable thought
that's clear, pleasing without distort,
scratch less melodic soulful sounding
amazing piece that's mind pounding,
like stars flashing in the night sky
happy feelings so pleasing you'd cry
uncontrollable tears flowing by,
If I could write a song for all to enjoy
loved by man, woman, girl and boy,
broadcast on every sound device
popularity not necessary but nice,
full of hope to lift everyone's heart
bringing people together not apart,
like stars flashing in the night sky
happy feelings so pleasing you'd cry
uncontrollable tears flowing by.
I wish I could write a song that's snappy
a song that would make everyone happy,
some kind of tune to bring people together
a sound remembered hopefully for ever.
