I Wish I Could Rewind
A ballade for you-
Is a ballade complete,
For this emotion was true-
You swept me off my feet.
So innocent and sweet-
To you I was so kind-
But now from snow to sleet,
I wish I could rewind.
You were all I knew-
I wish I saw the deceit-
Now left with nothing to do,
A riddle I couldn't beat-
You left before we could meet.
Now you are a pain to the mind-
A girl so intricate and neat-
I wish I could rewind.
I wish you had a clue-
I now feel the heat-
I wanted to see you through,
But you simply hit delete.
This feeling started out so discrete-
Now it's all left behind-
The memories are stuck on repeat-
I wish I could rewind.
My life is left to deplete-
In your beauty I am entwined-
You made my heart beat-
I wish I could rewind.
