I Wish For These Simple Things

Take me to lands far away from this place, for I cannot erase these lines on my face- Feel my spirit in the breeze when we dance, keep my heart lit with passion and romance. Forgive me when I dread the atonement, help my soul get caught up in the moment- Feed me your prey when I hunger for food, touch me like that when I’m in the mood. Oh, my love release my desire to accept, all the things deep inside you’ve always kept, and when I feel lonely may you always hold my heart in your hands til’ our story’s untold. Allow me to live in the light without shame, teach our daughter to be proud of her name, and if I shall perish this night from death, remember I loved you til’ my dying breath. I love you now more than life has endured, for your gentle hands, I’ve always allured- When I need to breathe, give me my space, your adoration for me I shall never replace. May 29, 2017
