I Wish

I wish we could discuss
I wish you'd ask me what I got,how am I,what's going on
I wish I had the courage to tell you
I wish you'd believe me
I wish you were here
I don't have to be so close
Some things definitely don't have to know
I wish we'd pray together
I wish we'd talk more I wish we weren't just friends
Because I asked you to be one
I wish I knew your family and you knew mine
I wish all these and so much more
But all these wishes will never pass
They are as unsubstantial
as the mirage of the gulf
Maybe the minds of men
Worst part is,
You'll never get to know this
